Between work, family and social commitments, time is definitely tight and the number one reason people say they don’t exercise is because they just don’t have the time.
The good news is there are a lot of really busy people that do find the time to exercise so how do they make it happen? First, they make it a priority. They realize that their life is better, they feel great and are more productive when they do exercise. Secondly, they have learned to be efficient and effective in their life so they can fit workouts in that don’t necessarily require more time.
One way to easily incorporate exercise into your life is to do it all throughout the day. So instead of trying to find one hour to exercise, instead look for 1 minute opportunities.

Wrap a Tube Around a Pole
Try placing an elastic exercise tube around a staircase or pole in your house. Every time you pass by, commit to doing 15-20 reps of an exercise such as a Row, Press or Tricep Kickback.
Brush Your Teeth
You know you’re going to brush your teeth at least twice every single day so how about while you’re brushing for 1-2 minutes, you incorporate some side leg lifts, one legged balance or some squats. When you’re busy, you’ve got to start multi-tasking.
Commercial Fitness
We all have our favorite shows so how about doing 10 pushups or a one minute plank during the commercial break. In one show, you might get in 10 different exercises.
Workplace Wellness
Set a one-hour timer on your computer. Then get up and do one simple exercise like chair squats, desk pushups, or bench dips. In a full work day, you could get in 8 exercises and because you’re not doing them all at once, you won’t even work up a sweat.
Walk and Talk
Many people are bogged down with meetings. How about instead of another meeting in your office or conference room, you suggest a walking meeting. The fresh air and extra blood flow can really enhance creative thinking too! Do the same for quality time with friends and family and you’ll all get healthier while creating a deeper bond.
Too busy is not a valid excuse! Instead of exercise taking up too much time, it will actually give you more time, energy and increased productivity. So no more excuses, just get it done. You deserve to look good, feel great, be at your best and live life to the fullest!
