Purpose:
As Personal Trainers and Fitness Professionals, we must be able:
- To incorporate a holistic approach to health and fitness that encompasses cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength, and endurance, flexibility, nutrition, stress, and lifestyle considerations.
- To provide our clients with the knowledge, skills, guidance, support, motivation, and educational resources that will allow them to explore their own fitness potential, as well as, enhance the quality of their lives now and ongoing.
- To offer safe programs, appropriate progressions, and movement modifications, as well as, provide our clients with the knowledge, skills, and exercise repertoire so that they can modify their exercise programs by themselves when needed.
- To develop fun, effective, and efficient exercise programs that offer variety and meet the specific needs of our clients.
- To develop a relationship with all clients and to act as ‘friendship coordinators’ by introducing clients to each other and other staff members.
- To encourage clients to participate in company events and outdoor adventures.
- To act as an aid in the rehabilitation of clients experiencing pain and injury.
- To network with the appropriate health and fitness professionals regarding the care of a client and incorporate recommendations as needed.
- To establish a warm, receptive, and non-intimidating environment that facilitates and enhances the learning process.
- To express ourselves as a confident, competent, and committed team of fitness professionals whose primary focus is to enhance the quality of life and vitality of our clients.
- To share our knowledge, skills, and insight with each other in order to improve our skills and unify our team.
- To remain certified and updated on all current research and fitness trends.
- To uphold professional integrity through our conduct, appearance, and respect for our clientele, other fitness professionals, and organizations within the industry.
As Customer Service Representatives and Administrative Staff we must be able:
- To greet every client with a warm smile, a personalized greeting, and a servicing attitude.
- To provide our clients with the answers to their personal training, group training, and studio questions.
- To express ourselves as a confident and competent team of business professionals who operate the ‘behind the scenes’ operation of the studio in an efficient and effective manner to ensure there are few scheduling errors, minimal waiting times, and smooth transitions for our clients into and out of their training sessions.
- To ensure that our training studio is clean, organized, and presentable every day and to resolve any facility problems or malfunctions as quickly as possible.
- To provide our clients and trainers with the products, information, time, and resources they need.
- To develop a relationship with all clients and to act as ‘friendship coordinators’ by introducing clients to each other and other staff members.
- To encourage clients to participate in company events and outdoor adventures.
- To participate in client events to demonstrate our support of a healthy and fit lifestyle and to celebrate our clients’ successes.
- To work out on a regular basis so that we too can ‘Look Good, Feel Great and Live Life to the Fullest!’
