I very nearly fell out of my chair when I read in an email from Cody that I had been nominated for NWPT “Strong” Client of the month. Initially I thought myself undeserving of such a grand distinction given that my arm circumference is but a fraction of Robs. Then it dawned on me that if human arm circumference follow…not wanting to be pigeon holed for my brawn alone though, I must point out my prowess in the arena of endurance racing. In the past 3 years, I have completed multiple half marathon and 5K and 10K events winning my age category more than once AND winning the overall title at the Blooms to Brews 10K race when the super-fast 10K runners were diverted onto the half marathon route by mistake! The only award for being super-fast that day was an extra 7 miles to run! I have not always been the well-rounded uber-athlete I am today. Before coming to train at NWPT, I was full of excuses. There were never enough hours in the day to exercise. I had back pain, shoulder pain, hip pain and Ibuprofen was my constant companion. I was convinced to give NWPT a try by my lovely, intelligent, and very beautiful wife and after filling out the longest intake form I had ever seen, I signed on for 12 weeks on Saturday mornings. Those early months at NWPT passed by breathlessly in a dizzying blur of sweat and shackles as Trevor put me through the paces. Then an enthusiastic newcomer named Cody agreed to be my trainer. He promised to make me strong and fit and we would enter an enduring partnership which remains solid to this day. He is the WOO to my HOO so to speak. I have worked with many exceptional trainers throughout my time at NWPT but none can hold a candle to my sainted mentor Cody McHaney whose expert tutelage transformed me from a 140 pound weakling to NWPT Strong Client of the month. He knows how to deliver results as he knows the true inspirational value of a skillfully conveyed WOO!! Thanks Cody and the NWPT team! |
