Do you know that place where everyone knows your name and looks forward to seeing you when you come in? Northwest Personal Training is one of those kinds of places for me, and the friendliness and positive attitude keeps me coming back over and over again. When I was younger, I got exercise on my own through hiking and cycling around the Pacific Northwest. That worked until I hit 40, then I put on a bunch of weight, lost some strength and flexibility, and had a hard time doing chores around the house. I knew I needed help and wasn’t looking forward to finding it. I find the big box gyms intimidating and a little alienating. They never knew what to do with me, and I couldn’t figure out how to utilize them. Northwest Personal Training was well established with a good track record, so I went to see them. From the first meeting with the front desk to talking with a trainer, I found people who were interested in my goals and wanted to help me achieve them. Cody and I have been working on reaching a variety of goals (strength, flexibility, diet) for three years and it has never felt “routine”. His enthusiasm, humor, and constant encouragement make it easy to do the hard work of exercising. At Northwest Personal Training this tends to be the norm, not the exception. I have worked with Nate, Jessica, Jaime, and others and they are all eager to bring out the best in you. Northwest Personal Training has the expertise to help people with their fitness, that’s a given, but, for me, it is the friendly encouragement and positive attitude that keeps bringing me back as a client.
