I started my personal training experience at NWPT in January of 2012, and this has been the most valuable and fulfilling exercise program I have found that supports and encourages me to be in the best physical condition possible. I needed an exercise program that would hold me “accountable” to reach, sustain, and improve my personal fitness goals. I have had the opportunities to work with several different trainers over the past 12 years, with Cody, Jamie, and currently Alicia, being the personal trainers I have had the privilege to work with the longest. Everyone at NWPT is awesome and it feels like a family. I truly enjoy and appreciate the smaller studio format where everyone knows you when you walk through the door. Not only has accountability been important to me but also, the positive reinforcement, encouragement, and support you receive in being able to accomplish more than you think you can do. I have shared with my trainer more than once over the years that “I couldn’t have done this without you, I would have stopped awhile ago, or I would not have been able to do this many repetitions at this weight on my own”. I value my trainer’s expertise and knowledge in observing me to ensure I am doing an exercise or movement correctly. It has also been important that my trainer always asks me “How are you feeling today?” before we start our session because there are days that you may not be feeling 100% for various reasons, and they are able to modify the exercises for that day to ensure that you are still able to feel great afterwards.
I have been able to achieve my goals of maintaining and improving my physical health, which in turn makes you feel great about yourself, and it is all due to the staff at NWPT!! I have just retired from a rewarding Nursing career, and as I enter this next chapter of my life, I want to continue my fitness journey to be the healthiest and strongest I can be to spend quality time with my family, and especially our 3 beautiful grandchildren, travel, hike, golf, and enjoy life to the fullest!
