|Prior to joining NWPT, I had another gym membership and actually used it several times a week. But, I wasn’t meeting my fitness and weight loss goals, so I knew it was time to make a change. One of the first group classes that I attended was Bootcamp with Rob. It was a killer class and I wanted so badly to give up and walk. Rob wouldn’t let me. He ran beside me the whole way back to the gym and kept telling me that I could do it. With Rob’s support, I actually did run the entire way back to the gym. That was a turning point for me. I realized that so much of fitness was mental and with the right guidance, I could accomplish anything. From that moment on, I dedicated myself to going to at least 4 group classes each week. The group classes are challenging and fun. I definitely began seeing an improvement in my strength and endurance right away. After about 6 months of group classes, Brittany Pratt and I started partner training with Trevor. That’s when my body really started to change. I was so encouraged by the changes that I picked up another day of partner training with Tiffany. Not only does Trevor push us physically, he helps with food planning and barriers to weight loss. He shares recipes and game plans for times when we are out of town or can’t make it to the gym. I am a working mother with two young children AND I’m in the best shape of my life. A combination that I didn’t realize could coexist. I have made new friends. I am an overall happier person. Thanks for everything NWPT! I look forward to many more years!
