Our geriatric love story began (when I passed Will) up Heartbreak Hill at Vancouver Run, Grub, & Chug Club where we met. Exercise and activity have always been part of our lives. Fast forward to the pandemic + launching our business (OMW Uptown Market!) in 2022, and self-care evaporated. We were moving a lot, but not intentionally and both Will and I could feel the difference in our life and relationship. Last winter we decided to invest in ourselves and signed up for weekly partner training with Marcia at Northwest Personal Training.
Exercise to both of us looks different now than it did in our thirties. We are all about chasing strength, mobility, and the ability to do all the things we love together for as long as we can. Marcia is the perfect mix of supportive, no-nonsense, and fun. Even though the accuracy of her counting is a little suspect, we genuinely look forward to our sessions every week. We even (mostly) do our at-home workouts together.
Northwest Personal Training has helped us make fitness a priority again with our weekly dates with Marcia. Accountability has been the key for us. We’re stronger, more connected, and feeling great. We’ve got Marcia (and NWPT) to thank for that.
