Have you ever noticed how a beautiful piece of music can instantly change your mood? A calming song can help you relax, an upbeat rhythm can energize you, and certain sounds can bring back powerful memories. We know that sound has a profound effect on us, and that is the idea behind Sound Healing.
Sound Healing
Sound healing with bowls is a relaxing practice that uses the vibrations and tones produced by specially designed bowls. The bowls may be made from metal or crystal and are gently struck or played around the body, creating soothing layers of sound and vibration. Rather than requiring you to stretch, sweat or work hard, sound healing invites you to simply be.
How Sound Healing Works
During a sound bath, you typically lie or sit comfortably while the instructor plays the bowls and other calming instruments. The sounds wash over you, giving your mind something peaceful to focus on while encouraging your body to slow down. Think of it like meditation with a soundtrack!
While research into sound healing is still developing, many people report feeling deeply relaxed and refreshed afterwards. I’ve taken a number of sound healing classes and I can attest to feeling a sense of calm, peace and relaxation during and after class. The practice may be especially appealing if you have a busy mind, a stressful schedule or simply need permission to pause.

Our upcoming specialty class makes that opportunity even more meaningful.
